Black StarやHi-Tekとのコラボレーションで知られるTalib Kweliにとっては初の個人名義作品。真面目で内省的な印象のTalibだが、アルバムとしてはProducer, Guest陣のおかげか、十分刺激的で抑揚のあるものになっている。サウンド的にはファンクだあったり、一部攻撃的であったり、じっくり系であったりとなかなかバラエティに富んでいるのだが、どれも音数少なめで決して華やかでないところがTalib的ということだろう。
