| Leela Jamesのカバー作をはさんで、5年ぶりのオリジナル2作目。今回は音楽的な相性が合うStaxからのリリースとなる。前作と同様、バンドをバックにしたディープでストレートなソウルであるが、ほんの少しアーシーさが薄れ、Popな方向に向いているようだ。アップ、ミティアム、スローがバランスよく配置されている。まだ27歳ではあるが、歌声は少し掠れぎみなところが力強い。RaheemとのDuo作⑦なんか、本当に染みてくる。派手さはないが良作だと思う。 | ||
