| そのアーティスト名とジャケットの風貌と歌声からすると中堅の域に達してそうなLeela Jamesだが、これがデビュー盤となる。Sam Cookeの不朽の名曲をタイトルにおしいただき、カバーまでしているが、アルバム全体の基調もディープでストレートなソウルである。コンテンプラリーなProducerであるRaphael SaadiqやKanye Westもここでは質感を損ねず雰囲気のある仕事をしている。本人のVocalも渋くてスピリチュアルで、聴けば聴くほど染みてくる作品だ。 | ||
