AIDSによる合併症で1997に他界したナイジェリア音楽界の巨人Fela Kutiへのトリビュートアルバム。そのAIDSのチャリティプロジェクトであるRed Hotシリーズの14作目となる。参加アーティストは故郷アフリカはもとより、アメリカを中心に中南米,欧州からでアルバムコンセプトにふさわしい人選となっている。Fela自身の音源とゲストによる演奏/歌唱が微妙にミックスされ、サウントの基調はあくまでもオリジナルを踏襲しており統一感の高いアルバムになっている。
