| Michael Kiwanukaの4年振り、2作目。前作同様、朴訥した語り口のフォーキー・ソウルというスタイルは変わらないが、今回の特徴は、ストリングスを積極的に取り入れていること。おかげでサウンド的には奥行きが広くなり、情感が豊かになった。特に組曲っぽい①などは、かなり壮大だ。このへんは、半数以上の曲をProduceするDanger MouseとInfloの功績だろう。また、引き続き、出身地のアフリカ的な要素をとりいれた曲もある。これがUKで作られた作品というのにも驚く。John Legendの不在感を埋めてくれている気がする。 | ||
