| 2000年代にR&B Duo, Floetryの一員として活躍し、2010年代以降はソロとして活動しているMarsha Ambrosiusの4枚目のソロアルバム。2021年には録音は完了してたとのことだが、ProducerのDr.
Dreが脳の病気だったこともあって、やっと仕上げが終わり、2024年夏のリリースとなった。そのDreが全面Produceしており、しかも全曲オーケストラ演奏ベースにサンプリングを巧みに融合させた何ともゴージャスな作品になっている。全曲スローでJazzyなスタンダード集のような趣き(CDジャケットもそんな感じ)で、Hip-Hop要素はやや控えめ。⑫では、先達のアーティストの名を挙げて、リスペクトを示している。40歳台中盤を迎えたMarshaが緩急をつけた歌唱で貫禄を見せている。 |
