Hip-Hop回帰の前作が当たり、最近は俳優業などもこなすCommonの2年のアルバム。前作同様Kanye Westが総指揮にあたっていて、落ち着きのある、味わい深い作品になっている。サンプリング多様のゆったりしたTrackが多く、逆に強いビートで引っ張るような曲は全く無くて、このあたりも最近のHip-Hopとは完全に一線を画している。Commonも大人向けRappeerとしてのポジションを確立したようだ。盟友J Dilla(R.I.P.)との共作と続くコントリビュート作もあり、最後はこれも前作同様、CommonパパのWords Of Wisdomで締められている。
