| Kanye WestとTy Dolla $ignによるユニット、¥\$による1st album。予定では3部作になるそう。Kanyeの改名後のアーティスト名Yeから¥をとり、Ty
Dolla $ignより$をとって、こんなユニット名になったようだ。とはいえ、Kanye色がかなり強く、Tyの影は薄目。いつもの荘厳な雰囲気の曲からスタートはするが、その後は最近作のような神、宗教をテーマにした曲は無く、以前のKanyeに戻ったようで、個人的には好感が持てる。多くのProducerを呼び寄せ、Boom
Bap、Drill、Funk, Popな曲にメロディアスな曲など、現代Hip-Hopを総括するような感じになっている。変わったところでは、GuestとしてKanyeの娘のNorthが④でRapを聞かせ、⑥ではボクサーのMike
Tysonがモノローグをいれている。また⑬ではChris Brownも参加しているが、誰だか判らないくらいエフェクトをかけられている。 |
