Commonの新作は、今のところ今年一番といえる作品。TitleのLike Water For Chocolateは後に映画化もされたメキシコの小説で、映画のほうにインスパイアされたとのこと。とにかく、Back Trackが全てすばらしく、78分近い大作だが長さが気にならない。Soulquarianという今回限り(?)のProducer Teamによる形をとっているが、中でもJay Deeが多くの曲でProduceしていて、Q-tipの新作に続いて、高レベルを維持していて完成度の高さに貢献している。Common自身はバトルMCとしての影はひそめ,より内省的になった気がする。
