Raphael Saadiqの4年ぶりのアルバム。前作は自身のIndy labelからのリリースだったが、今回はColumbiaに移籍したようだ。アルバムの特徴は60～70年代のソウルミュージックを小細工無しにそのまま再現したサウンドに尽きる。生楽器で押し通しているので、ライブ感のようなものも感じるし、何よりもRaphaelのソウル愛が伝わってくる。声の線の細さが、ときどき気になるのが残念なところ。
