Outkastの３年ぶりの5作目は2枚組, 39曲, ２時間を超える作品。しかもBig Boi, Andre3000　2人のソロアルバムをカップリングするという前代未聞の大作となった。CDジャケットも両面が表となっている。どちらかといったら、Big Boi盤(Speakerboxxx)のほうはAndre3000も一部参加していることもあり、前作からの延長線にあって、ロックっぽいTrackや、パーティチューン、南部的バウンスものなど楽しい感じ。Andre 3000盤のLove Belowのほうは映画のサントラをイメージしたそうで、Jazzもふんだんにといれられていて、プリンスの影響も見受けられるHio-Hopの枠組みを超えた問題作。両盤とも唄の比率が高いのが共通の特徴。
